Science Communication and Outreach Efforts
My goal as a scientist is to do cutting edge research on the evolution and ecology of venomous marine organisms that has direct, measurable benefits for society. But I am not just a scientist—I am also a science communicator, and I use online media to reach out and share my research results and those of others with the general public. Through mentoring, community participation, and science communication, I hope to inspire the next generation of young scientists, and serve as a role model to young women with a passion for STEM fields.
